Placement of fixed wireless broadband equipment shelters supporting connectivity for Conehatta and Bogue Chitto communities.
IKBI worked with MBCI to support fixed wireless service to rural areas in Conehatta and Bogue Chitto. The federally funded effort was geared toward enhanced connectivity, especially for students in distance and virtual learning.
Storage shelters for fixed wireless broadband equipment arrived in November 2020. An equipment room was placed on site under the Conehatta water tower next to Conehatta Elementary School, with subsequent equipment installation and cable/wiring hookups planned to bring towers online.
