Food Distribution Center

The contract with MBCI was for construction of a new Food Distribution Warehouse on Industrial Road in Choctaw, MS. The warehouse provides 7,930 square feet of additional space to the existing warehouse and showroom, including 5,200 square feet of climate-controlled food storage and 2,730 square feet for shipping/receiving. An additional 1,554 square feet of showroom/shopping space was renovated and expanded.

The new warehouse adjoins the existing building through the renovated shipping/receiving dock. IKBI installed main distribution panels and sub-panels, connected an owner-furnished backup generator, and relocated food storage coolers and freezers.

As prime contractor, IKBI self-performed showroom/shopping finishes including flooring, painting, ceiling repair, restroom renovations, doors, and finish carpentry. Plumbing, electrical, dirt work, concrete, and steel erection were subcontracted.
