Moody AFB Flight Simulator Facility

IKBI was the contractor for this design/build project consisting of a 27,000 SF flight simulator training facility with high-bay volume for two simulators. The structure is steel frame over concrete slab on grade with metal stud walls and a standing-seam metal roof.

The secured facility houses an HC-130J full-flight simulator and portable HH-60 flight simulator, plus control systems, classrooms, mission brief/debrief rooms, and administrative support. Supporting facilities included a 100-space parking lot, utilities, sidewalks, landscaping, and demolition of existing infrastructure. LEED 2009 Silver Certification was achieved under New Construction.
